I love to take pictures of my family having a good time, and especially of my 2 year old..because she will never do some of the funny things that she does now, ever again..If I forget to write it all down (which is nearly impossible) I would forget some things Im sure if I didnt have the picture 'memories' to look at :).

I love taking pics of landscapes, especially in the wee hours of the morning or at dusk. I love how a picture of simple place can evoke myriad feelings, sometimes those you can't name. And I particularly love taking photos that are sort of 'out of context'...like close-ups of tree bark or strange architectural features! Sometimes the patterns and things we overlook are amazingly beautiful, so I try to see them through my lens.

I am a fan of the singing group The Lettermen and unlike most groups they actually encourage fans to take flash photo's during the show. I attend many shows throughout the year and then at the end of the year I take my best photo's from the shows and make a calendar to enjoy the following year.

I prefer landscapes. I had a great one of a snail upside down on a wooden bridge and the bg was a flower garden in full bloom, but the focus was the snail.
